Why we're different

We believe music lessons teach much more than how to play or sing. They inspire, spark the imagination and build confidence and discipline. Music lessons and performance teach young people to take risks, conquer fear, and develop their potential.

Our students receive music lessons tailored to their needs. We set them up to succeed in their chosen instruments and in life. We build relationships with students and families beyond their music lessons. We seek out performance opportunities for our rock stars, promoting them and coaching them for auditions, school plays and more.

a family business

We provide pop/rock vocal lessons, guitar lessons, bass lessons, drum lessons, keyboard/piano and ukulele lessons. Plus we coach several youth and teen bands. We work from our home-based studio on the border of Kanata and Stittsville. The biggest difference at U-Rock is the owners are the teachers – this makes us very unique compared to other music schools. The result is that we take great pride in making sure your rock stars are happy with their lessons and get the very best music education while also having fun.

We Create Fun

We’ve taught and mentored thousands of young rock stars in Kanata, Stittsville and the surrounding areas since our school first opened in 1997. Our five-star rating from students and families makes us the best choice for music education combined with fun. Many of our students stay with us for five years or more. We frequently teach many multiple sibling families. There are discounts available for families with 3+ children.
